#JustFriday raises money to power Christmas
You may have noticed that instead of #BlackFrdiay this year, we held a #JustFriday sale – with all money raised going to charity (just shy of £250). The charity we chose to donate to was the Cash for Kids Mission Christmas campaign. In partnership with GP Batteries, the money raised help pay for 1,500 packs of batteries. Making sure those receiving the gifts weren’t disappointed by “Batteries not included”.
So Why #MissionChristmas?
With 1 in 4 children across the UK living in poverty this December, for many families Christmas is simply a luxury they can’t afford. Cash for Kids do fantastic work, generating upwards of £15.5 million in gifts and donations in 2016. Which were then distributed to more than 360,000 disadvantaged kids across the UK. Last year, they found that many kids were incredibly grateful, but a little disappointed when they realised their brand new toy didn’t come with batteries. Thats why this year we are donating batteries to the cause.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who bought items in our #JustFriday Sale and we wish all of you a Merry Christmas.
